One of the main items of meteorological observation is precipitation observation. The amount of precipitation provides important basic data for climate analysis and disaster prevention and mitigation. The tipping bucket rain gauge is to measure and realize the automatic observation of the total amount of liquid and solid precipitation in a certain period of time, which reduces the workload of the observers. The rain gauge is mainly composed of a type shell, a filter, a funnel, a reverse flow tipping bucket, a terminal block, a leg bracket, a reed switch, a rain gauge base and other components. Measure precipitation through rapid response to quality changes. Daily maintenance1. The tipping bucket rain gauge is outdoors for a long time, and the use environment is quite harsh. Therefore, the inner wall of the rain-bearing port of the instrument should be wiped with a soft cloth frequently to keep the rain-bearing port clean. Foreign objects such as leaves in the gully should be cleaned up in time to keep the waterway unblocked. When the instrument is not in use for a long time, a cover should be placed on the ring mouth of the instrument to protect the rain-bearing mouth; the instrument should be cleaned once a month for long-term operation, and it must be cleaned once every three months. 2. Check in time after each heavy precipitation process to prevent overflow. During the precipitation process, when the amount of precipitation may exceed the measurement range due to a large amount of precipitation, water should be drained in time during the intermittent period of precipitation. It is expected that there will be dusty weather but no precipitation, so the mouth of the bucket should be covered in time; the cover should be removed in time after the dusty weather is over. 3. Pay attention to analyzing and judging the accuracy of precipitation data during the precipitation process. If in doubt, conduct field tests in time. First unplug the data cable, connect it to the data cable of the rainfall calibrator, and clear the rainfall calibrator; use the special measuring cup for rainfall calibration to measure the 10mm water volume, slowly pour it into the inner cylinder, and the simulated rain intensity is 2~4mm /min. Each on-site test is repeated 3 times, and the error calculations are performed respectively. The error is less than or equal to 4%, and the test is qualified. Second, fault maintenance 1. Damaged parts: Damaged filters, funnels, cracks or deformations on the tipping bucket, etc., will seriously affect the accuracy of the measurement. To this end, we need to recalibrate after replacing the relevant parts. 2. Loss of hidden parts: The process and change of the loss of invisible parts are very slow, and it is difficult to find out in time. For example, changes in the rotating shaft of the bucket and the rust of the filter may cause rainfall deviation. This kind of error can be adjusted regularly to ensure the accuracy of the equipment. After the adjustment is completed, there will be no significant changes in a long enough period of time. 3. Dust accumulation: In addition to the regular cleaning of the dust on the inner wall of the equipment, the precision parts will also become a place for 'hiding dirt' because it is difficult to clean at the beginning. In this regard, when we conduct regular inspections of invisible parts, we also need to deal with internal dust. 4. The induction of the reed switch is not sensitive:The induction of the reed switch is not sensitive. The following aspects should be checked:First of all, check whether the induction part and the reed switch are aligned and normal. In this case, there will be a crisp sound when the dumping bucket is flipped through the reed switch; Secondly, check whether there is any fracture or obvious damage traces inside the reed switch;Finally, check whether the welding of the reed switch is firm. 5. Line faults and poor line contact:When the equipment fails, and the conventional physical faults have been basically discharged, but the rainfall error cannot be eliminated, it should be considered whether there is a rainfall circuit board failure or line The problem of poor contact.
