PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Developed by Rika Sensor, the RK300-10 Type C Visibility Sensor is a heavy-duty atmospheric monitoring device engineered specifically for highly saline and humid environments. Built with a stainless steel shell and forward scatter measurement technology, it delivers reliable visibility data and integrated weather phenomenon detection, making it the ideal solution for coastal meteorology, port operations, and offshore infrastructure monitoring.
Forward scatter measurement:
Fog, rain, and salt spray can reduce visibility at coastal ports to tens of meters. The RK300-10 detects scattered light from suspended particles and calculates visibility every 10 seconds. Temperature compensation keeps readings stable, and RS485/RS232 outputs integrate directly into monitoring systems.
Stainless steel shell:
Coastal ports, offshore platforms, and tropical stations expose sensors to salt corrosion, condensation, and electrical interference. Reliable operation requires corrosion-resistant materials, sealed optics, humidity-tolerant electronics, and long-term stability under harsh conditions. Stainless-steel housing resists salt corrosion, sealed optics prevent condensation, and electronics operate reliably across high humidity and wide temperature ranges. Ensures stable visibility readings for ports, offshore platforms, and coastal monitoring.
